The Flo & Edna exhibit features the majority of quilts made individually by Flo Askin and Edna George, and a pair of quilts they made together. Some collection quilts were fashioned from applique kits, while others are pieced designs in fabrics of their choosing. Some were quilted by Edna, some were quilted by church group quilters, but all were hand quilted. Some are in excellent condition, others are tattered treasures, and many have been loved to death. Applique or patchwork, perfect or in shreds, the quilts of this private collection showcase a love of needlework over a period of two concurrent lifetimes.

The Flo & Edna exhibit is the first time these family quilts have been assembled and shared with the public. There will be approximately 35 quilts on display as well as quilting & sewing memorabilia of the quilters. In edition to this exhibit, the Ohio County Historical Society will also feature additional prized Hoosier quilts from their collection.
