No problem with this post Roseanne. I've had Ami do two batches of undies for me before and I just love it when a pair of hers raises to the top of my undie pile. What a bright and colorful start to the day. I'm in - just gotta go buy some new ones.

Hi Barbara, Do you have any idea how to get the word out to fellow TQS members who might be using or interested in using this software. Perhaps we need to start a new blog. I am going in about as many directions as I can manage right now but I am still interested in getting more information from people who are using the software. I know you need to have the Snow Leopard OS and that is about the extent of what I know. While I am thinking about going in that direction I am also trying to track down a treadle sewing machine. I think I just need to make a few quilts on a treadle machine. I guess there is nothing wrong with designing those quilts on a computer now is there? LoisB

Lois, our TQS treadle expert is Pat Nordmark

I haven't seen a post from her in a while, so you might want to send her an e-mail if you have any questions.

Hi Lois,
I went to http://www.quiltingboard.com and if you do a search you can read what people have to say about it. I read a little just to see if it addresses your question. There are quite a few posts there. Hope this helps.

Ladies - I also have a Mac. If you don't have an Apple Store near you I'm sure that any place that sells them would be able to help you decide the best route to take. I went to the Apple Store and after looking into it I just decided ot go ahead and buy a used laptop on Ebay. I found a real nice one for $200 and I'm using it only for my sewing/quilting programs. Oh, and I have internet access so I can take it with me on my retreats. Don't want to miss The Quilt Show now do I!

Thanks Cheryl, I am interested in knowing anyone that uses the Mac software. Did some research and found this link this morning 1 http://www.softexpressions.com/software. They have quilt software for Macs. It is called Quilt-Pro 5. Anybody using it? Lois B

I would be interested in how the quilt pro works on the Mac also.

This is a bit off topic, however, it is Florence's very interesting EQ6 design that promts the question. Great job Florence. Does anyone out there use Mac software for quilt design? I looked in the Forum for a place for technical questions but didn't find anything? Thanks! Lois B

Here is a yahoo group that can answer your questions. For me, I used Bootcamp on my Mac to partition the hard drive. The Microsoft is installed, then you can install EQ. The down fall of doing it this way is you can't use both sides at the same time. There are programs that allow you to use both side. You can research all your options with this group and they can help if you run into problems.
