lindaartquilt Koi Pond and Willow - Used silk koi painted by my sister along with hand dyes silks to give the koi fish a home, since she is not a quilter. The fish needed leaf cover so I added the willow branches touching the water surface. I used at least 50 different fabrics to make it, and about that many threads to quilt it. see Quilters Newsletter Magazine April 2007 TOC and page 50.
