smoses It took several years for me to finish this elaborate quilt for my mother, who is interested in different quilt blocks. I pinned paper labels to each of the block patterns so she can pick out a "churn dash" block from a "54/40 or fight" block, etc. I mostly worked on it while we were on vacation, remodeling an old farmhouse without electricity (thus the hand applique).
