karentz Carnival - I lived on the Virgin Islands for awhile and enjoyed Carnival each year. The dancing is lead by the Macko Jumbies and I wanted to remember the good fun feelings of Carnival with my own Macko Jumbie. The quilt was started in 1999 when I learned curved piecing but I put off drawing the Macko Jumbie for a few years.
